First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

By now, all parents whose children will be receiving the Sacrament of Eucharist and Reconciliation this year should have received a sheet with all of the dates and times for meetings, workshops, and celebrations for these two sacraments. Food Allergies

Please note that some of the children in our program have serious food allergies - for this reason, please do not send in food treats to be shared with the class.

Upcoming Family Masses

The book containing sign-up sheets for those families wanting to participate in the Christmas Eve Family Mass, the Boy Scout Mass, and the Girl Scout Mass is now available on the table outside the Faith Formation offices. Please consider signing up to help with one of these special Family Masses.

We also need families to help coordinate Family Masses at other times of the year (all Masses with children's choir, check the Faith Formation K6 calendar for the dates): please contact a member of the Parish Council if you are able to help. ppc@stjoseph.belmont.ma.us

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

We use the textbooks from the Sadlier "We Believe" series with a companion, annotated teacher text and grade appropriate resources. A good website is www.sacredspace.ie. The Sadlier website is loaded with materials by grade that compliments the text: www.sadlier.com. The Loyola Press website www.findinggod.org is a good place for information. The sixth grade text is from Saint Mary's Press.

We are continuing "Buddy Days". The first through sixth grades get together to learn and help each other.

*BAPTISM: A copy of your child's baptismal certificate is required for first time enrollment in our program.
The Kindergarten program is based on enrollment and classroom availability.
